Project Overview

Project Summary

This PBL could be used to launch a monthly or quarterly newsletter/newspaper to share the highlights of your JAG program. It will allow students to experience working as a team to report the news, sharing with others about their JAG program, and potentially their school and community. Students will work as a team to create a newspaper that they can share with their fellow peers and school community. A lead editor will be selected, and the rest of the class will serve as journalists. This will require the journalists to meet deadlines and report to the lead editor to ensure the completion of the newspaper by the date set.

Making It Your Own

What adjustments did you make? How did you assess student learning? What worked really well?

Project-Based Learning is a developmental process, and as we collectively learn and perfect our practice, our quality of projects will improve.  We encourage you to make the projects your own, and as you do, in the comment section on each project page, leave notes identifying the modifications and changes you made to fit the needs of your classroom.
